VOLUNTEER COACHING

Volunteerism is one of the core values of the Vancouver Hawks and we encourage all our members to give back to the community. The following volunteer coaching positions are currently available:

Junior Spring Season

Parent Coach

We are looking for Parent Coaches to help our team coaches. Our Team Coaches are often young and while they may be good at coaching field hockey, they often benefit from some support from adults to help practices and games go smoothly. At younger age groups Parent Coaches are responsible for helping to prepare and run practices while at the older ages coaches are also jointly responsible for weekend games. Team Coach

We are looking for team coaches to be responsible for the hockey played by your team. This is ideal for both young or old coaches who would like to focus on the skills of their players. Team Coaches will often have support from parent coaches to help practices and games go smoothly. At younger age groups team coaches are responsible for preparing and running practices while at the older ages team coaches are also jointly responsible for weekend games. Assistant Coach

We understand everyone is busy! If you feel you are unable to commit enough time or energy to be a full Parent Coach or Team Coach, consider becoming an Assistant Coach. Assistant Coaches will help deliver practices and during games where they can. If you are interested in volunteering as a Team Coach please take 2 minutes to register here:
