2010/2011 Senior League Team Placements

If you wish to play on a Senior Men's or Senior Women's 2010/2011 Season League team you must attend try-outs for Women teams and Summer Fitness and Pre-Season Training for Men teams. All members of the Hawks Club must obtain a Field Hockey BC ID number membership and register with the Hawks Club. If you played field hockey fall 2009/2010 senior league or spring 2010 junior league, your FHBC ID number is the same and you simply need to renew your membership. You will be linked to the Field Hockey BC online membership through the Hawks online registration.

Women's:

We have 7 women's teams in 6 divisions. You will be placed on the appropriate team for your level of play.

Pre-season Fitness and training

All Hawks members and new to the club players are invited to attend the pre-season fitness and training.

  • When: Mondays August 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Wednesdays August 11, 18 and 25.

  • Where: Wright Field

  • Women: 6:30-8:00 Mon and Wed

  • Open to all fenmale members. Warm-up and fitness will start at 6:30, followed by scrimmages.


Try-outs For 2010

  • Premier and 1st Division only: Hamber Field, Tuesday August 24th, 6:00-7:30pm. Prospective Premier Players must be available to play in a tournament at Wright Field on September 11th and 12th at Wright Field.

  • Second division and lower: Hamber Field, Thursday August 26th 6:00-7:30pm.

  • Players will be contacted by September 3rd regarding first team practices they must attend. Team rosters will be finalized by September 13th.

To register for the Women's try-outs please contact the office with your name, e-mail address and phone number and put "women's try-outs" in the subject line.

Players wishing to play on the entry level teams (Hawks 5 and Hawks 6) do not need to attend try-outs. However, if you wish to play on the Hawks 5 team please contact the office and submit your name, birthdate, e-mail address and telephone number. Put "Hawks 5"in the subject line. The Hawks 6 team is currently full but you can put your name on the waiting list by e-mailing Karen Gilmore.

Men's:

We have 5 men's teams in 3 divisions. You will be placed on the appropriate team for your level of play.

Players wishing to play on the entry level teams (Hawks D and Grey Hawks (Hawks E)) do not need to attend try-outs. However, if you wish to play on the Hawks D team please contact the office and submit your name, birthdate, e-mail address and telephone number. Put "Hawks D"in the subject line. The Hawks E team is currently full but to put your name on the waiting list please contact the Hawks office.

Players wishing to play on our Premier or First Division teams (Hawks A, B and C) must attend summer squad training or contact the office.

Summer FitnessTraining and Pre-Season Squad Training for Premier and First Division 2010

  • When: Mondays August 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Wednesdays August 11, 18 and 25.

  • Where: Wright Field

  • Men: 8:00-9:00 Monday mini-games. Please submit your name to Kal Gulson, the Hawks A coach, if you wish to participate in the Mini-games.

  • Men: 8:00-9:30 Wednesday training. Mandatory for all Premier men and open to players wishing to play on Hawks B or C.

  • Players who can not play in the Pre-season League but want to play on the 2010/2011 Hawks B's or C's should contact the Hawks office. There will be other opportunities for you to train with the teams.

For Men and Women Summer Social mixed hockey is available during the Summer for members.
